Thesolutionforthisproblemwasdevelopedasfollows:AworkshopanalyzedallSOPmodelsusedwithinthecompanyandcomparedthesewithbusinessrequirementsandbestpractice.AsaresultofcombinedSOPmodels,theorganizationwasabletodevelopabestfitSOPmodelthatcouldbe rolledoutacrossthecompany.

Theworkshopproducedadetaileddocumentationwhichdescribedaboutinputs,meetingagendasand attendees,outputs,keyperformanceindicatorsforeachstageoftheprocess.

AsimulationofthefullSOPmodelwasdevelopedthatenabledfinaldesignimprovementstobemade andtrainingofprocessparticipants andkeystakeholders.Thisallowed asuccessfulimplementationplantobedeveloped.Uponimplementing,theprocesswastriedontrialrunfora period of4 months tofacilitatefinetuning.TheresultingSOPmodelwasthenrolled outacrossthe companyto achievefullbenefits.

TherapidimplementationofastandardizedSOPprocessgaveimmediatebenefitstothefortunesolutionsin termsof:

·         Increasedcustomerservicelevelandsuperiorproductavailability.

·         Reducedcostsfrom higherresourceutilization,reducedwaste.

·         Improvedcashflow due tooptimizedinventoryandimprovedscheduleadherence.
